How do you feel today?

Dear families,

Feelings and emotions is an important part in our daily lives and children should learn to identify how they feel to help them react better to different situations.

They can be taught not only positive emotions such as happy, surprised, relaxed but also negative emotions such as sad, scared, disgusted, angry , hungry and sleepy at an early age.

It’s a good experience to learn about Feelings and Emotions for kids , watch our Inside out ! They love this video, it’s very fun!

Whe pronouncing words of emotions, parents should be happy to smile with children.By combining facial expressions with pronunciation is better and fun!

Without a doubt, the best moment in class was  When they had to create the monster of emotions…There are a lot of original names!

I hope you enjoy it!

How do you Wear in Winter?

Hello everyone!

BRRR! It’s cold outside … and we practice how to put on our shoes, coat, scarf ,  hat and gloves…It’s a little  difficult..

With the drop in temperatures, what better topic to teach than the clothes we need to keep warm when we go out to play?

So that, we teach the words the we use in our daily life and we will be using the words related to how to dress for the cold for months to come: January and February.

Here , you can see a song to share at home to practice with these terms! Are you ready?

And since we are living in  «Winter temperatures»  we have decided to sing and dance with a fun penguins to warm up over the long week!

Happy weekend!

HEALTHY FOOD IN OUR LIVES!

Hello food lovers!

In Primary 2, we continue with the topic of healthy life and healthy food! We have been learning about different foods, not only fruits and vegetables, but also food that can be healthy or unhealthy.

We are creating our own FOOD PYRAMID! The pyramid is divided into five food groups and we are learning what a healthy balanced diet should include.

We are using food from those five groups: fruits and vegetables, grains, proteins, dairy products, sweets… that we find in markets leaflets and organising them into different levels according to the quantities we should take in our daily life.

Here you have some pics of the process! We love working in teams!

And here you have a funny song that we like so much! 🙂

Enjoy!

As you know, we are studying BODY PARTS and what’s better than creating strange creatures with so many and different body parts such as… three big eyes, two heads, four legs, long tail, wings and horns and full of colourful hair!

We really know the vocabulary and how to describe our body parts so now it’s time to create our own monster. This time, in Primary 1 , we are working in teams using our imagination to make  funny and cute monsters that we will describe to our class later, we enjoy the process of being a team while learning English!
