Year 1

Hello, everyone!

During these last two weeks, we have been learning about the baby animals in Year 1!

As always, these kids learn so quickly and are so motivated, that we had some time to go outside and also practise our pronunciation skills in the open air!

Do you want to practise at home? Then click the image below!

See you soon for more fun!

Green Class

Hi, everyone!

During this week, we have revised the animals on the farm! We played with a beautiful cookie-catcher and had to pass the tests that were  hidden inside!

We also spent some time practising our oral and communicating skills, «What’s your name?», «What’s your favourite animal?», «What’s your favourite colour?», «How are you?»…

Finally, on Friday, we had some time to start practising the calendar, so that we know how to say the date in English!

See you soon!

Red Class

Hello, everyone!

This week, we have learned a very funny story about a Very Hungry Caterpillar!

We read, then watched the animated story and then made a beautiful picture in which we practised our comprehension skills, as we had to draw the»meals» the caterpillar ate every day! We also had to pay attention to colours 😉

Next week, we will continue learning many interesting facts about caterpillars and bugs!

See you soon!

Orange Class

Hello, everyone!

During this week, we have been learning about the animals of the farm and, taking advantage of last week’s special topic about books, we have also spent some time «reading» in English. These kids really love reading as well as storytelling workshops!

We found many animals in our new books!

We practised the sounds of animals in English while we revised the Jollyphonics sounds that we already know.
We listened to the sounds of the animals and had to guess which animal was it! It was really funny!

On Thursday, we made a special class in the park. First, we sang our favourite songs. Then, we performed a theatre in the «Árbol Reunión» where our kids imitated their favourite animals and the rest of us had to guess which animal was it!

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

Hello!

For the past couple of weeks in Year 2, we have been emphasizing speaking  in complete sentences instead of just groups of words.

To help us with this task, we read, saw, and drew the story of

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

by Eric Carle

In addition to everyone in the class retelling the story in sentences, the story was a vehicle to revise the days of the week, food and continue our work with insects.

Of course, we read and shared the physical book, but here are some other resources we used to help us learn.

We hope you enjoy  these resources at home and have fun re-telling this classic story to your families!

Enjoy your weekend!
