The seasons are changing and that means good things for us! .We especially love changing things when Fall hits because with it comes pumpkins and spice and everything nice!
Halloween has passed and our little ones are still asking for related songs. In Year 1 we have been working on parts of the house and next week they will be presenting on their bedrooms.
Here you have some resources to help them with their presentations:
In Year 2 we are working on body parts and ¡we could even dance with them! They love dancing to Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes, specially since this is not the typical dance our children are used to:
In this First Cycle of Primary Education we not only learn English, but we also play bingo together (on body and house parts), we dance hip hop and rap to English music and even assemble impossible houses!
Soon it will be Thanksgiving. Even though Thanksgiving is not celebrated in our countries, we will teach our children how it is celebrated in the English-speaking countries. We will also try to go over all that we are thankful for.
Fall came to AlquerÃa and our children celebrated with enthusiasm our traditional Autumn Festival, along with the diverse activities that we put in place, including the Literary Exhibition in Primary Education. It was fantastic to watch our children in action. They did a wonderful job!
We are also working the Autumn/Fall theme in our Year 1 and 2 classes in both English and French, along with other specific topics appropriate to their levels. Here are some resources in case you would like to practice with your children what we are working on at AlquerÃa:
The Fall Season has just started and our little ones can see and feel the changes around them: the leaves are changing colors, the trees are losing their foliage, days are getting longer, and the weather is slowly getting colder.
All of the Infant classes are working the same theme: Autumn, and along with it comes Halloween, the most popular English holiday. Our children at AlquerÃa ask for Halloween songs and stories and claim: – They are not scary enough!
