After the super Carnival Party that we all enjoyed, we have been learning about the body parts with songs and games. We have drawn our bodies with chalk on the ground. We have also loved reading many different books.
Our Cultural Week is about to finish. As the concluding activity we have accomplished 2 more activities they loved. The first one was to carry buckets of water in teams without dropping them on the floor. Then we changed the small buckets for a bigger one. The objective of this activity was to make them aware of the weight and difficulty of transporting water for kilometres, as 1/3 of the population inthe world does. The other activity was to work in groups drawing situations in which we use water on a daily basis and also to make them create solutions on how to save water.
Our Cultural Week is about to end and I would like to post these pictures about the project we have developed together.
I wanted to make them aware about the use we make of water on a daily basis. Then I wanted them to think about the different possibilities with which we could save water in this planet.

These two past weeks we have being doing lots of activities related to our Cultural Week proyect: WATER. We have learnt the importance of clean water for the human being, the amount of clean water in the world and in our own bodies, the lack of resources in other countries, the use we make about it, the way we can save it and preserve it on a daily basis… They are so aware. It is amazing the amount of vocabulary and knowledge they can acquire and share. Now, they are perfectly comfortable talking about the water cycle amongst other fenomena.

These past weeks we have being reading a tale called «Dear Zoo». It is actually a very funny book about a person trying to get a pet and receiving from the Zoo just crazy animals. The interest of this tale is also the vocabulary associated to the animals such as: grumpy, fierce, big, tall, scary, naughty… I attach both links below so that you have the slow and the fast versions. Besides this, I find it very interesting to widen the amount of numbers they can say and relate.
