These past weeks we have been learning vocabulary about the animals on the farm, the clothes we need to bring to the fieldtrip and the different toiletties. They were so excirted about it!!! After arriving from the trip, we have started to learn about summer time and holidays!
I make this post with the purpose to get the children involved in their learning and practicing vocabulary. These past weeks we have been preparing for their different trips to the countryside. Although the topic is the same, the activities and resources are different according to the levels and class.
Orange class: songs, books…relate to the topic. Discrimination and drawing. Getting to know the sounds.
Red class: books, songs, interpretation, baby animals and sounds the they make. Let’s draw a farm!
Green class: role plays, vocabulary, songs, drawing, description of animals and guessing «Who is Who?» (but with animals). Introduction of English sounds and blending sounds to guess the word.
Next week we will prepare our suitcase with the right clothes and objects.
Spring is here and we all know the fun we can have to see the changes nature can make. The countryside is showing how beautiful it can turn and the magnificence of its vegetation and animals.
We have been reading books about insects, bugs and fenomena going on at this period of time. It is sooooo much fun.
Moreover, we are getting familiarized with some English sounds and their possition at the words we know. S (sun) -A (ant)-T (teacher)-P (plastic)-I (iguana)-N (plane)…. for example.
Easter is coming soon and we have also learnt the story of its celebration thoughout time.
They are soooooo happy about this new project. Our children have been learning about the possition of adjectives in English but playing and without even realising. This book also allows them practice their memory linking the colour with the animal in order. They love it!! Pure magic!!
These past weeks we have being reading a tale called «Dear Zoo». It is actually a very funny book about a person trying to get a pet and receiving from the Zoo just crazy animals. The interest of this tale is also the vocabulary associated to the animals such as: grumpy, fierce, big, tall, scary, naughty… I attach both links below so that you have the slow and the fast versions. Besides this, I find it very interesting to widen the amount of numbers they can say and relate.
Estimados padres:
Estas últimas semanas hemos estado leyendo un cuento llamado «Dear Zoo». De hecho es un libro super gracioso que va sobre una persona que le escribe al zoológico para pedir una mascota y los del zoo no paran de mandarle animales locos con adjetivos muy interesantes: grande, alto, gruñón, travieso… Adjunto ambos links debajo, el del cuento leÃdo y el del cuento cantado que va más rápido. Además, han ampliado vocabulario con los números del 1 al 15.
