Children in the Green Class learnt about the different parts of the face. They listened to a story about a monster and are in the process of making their own monster mask. We will role play with the masks next week
Los niños y niñas de la clase han aprendido sobre las partes de la cara. Han leÃdo una historia sobre un monstruo y están en el proceso de hacer  sus propias máscaras de monstruos. Las utilizaremos para hacer  diálogos con ellas.
We´ve been learning about the parts of the body through the bean bag song. We sing and dance, carrying the bean bag on our head, our shoulder, our foot, our leg, our back and our arm. It´s lots of fun when we try to sing and dance at the same time!
We´ve also read a story about dinosours that talks pretty much about ourselves … «How do dinosaurs go to school?» by Jane Yolen and Mark Teague. We used it to introduce classroom expectations and to choose names for our English teams: Velociraptors and Brontosaurus.
Welcome back, everyone! We hope you had a good summer break. We start our formal English teaching on Monday, September 14th. We are looking forward to starting a new school year at AlquerÃa. We are welcoming new classmates and a new English and French teacher: Cathy. You will get to know her in Year 1, Year 2, Red Class and Green Class. Our English teacher in the Orange Class will be Almudena.
In preparation for the trip to the farm the children in the Green class were looking at farm animals in more detail, commenting on their colour and they also made toilet roll farm animals, which we all enjoyed. This week we are playing games in the English class, learning to take turns and change activity in English.
