Dear children and parents,

Here we are in this bizarre situation trying to spend time having fun learning and exercising. Due to Coronavirus, teacher Debora is going to comunicate with you through the computer. I would be delighted to receive a message from you saying how you feel about the situation and how much you enjoy the English videos I have chosen for you to practice and enjoy. 😉

As you know, today is St Patrick’s Day, a very popular day in USA and Ireland. This is a link to a page by National Geographic which explains the most attractive facts about this festivity.

Part of the activities we develop in our beautiful school, Alquería, is hunting chocolate eggs in the garden and playground. I ask you to do it at home hiding either real chocolate eggs or just toys. It is so much fun to play at home. These are some sentences for you to read at home:

  • The easter bunny likes to jump inthe countryside and to hide chocolate eggs in the garden.
  • There are many children in the playground hunting for easter eggs.
  • I think this is a very fun activity.
  • We all love to learn English with videos.
  • It is nearly spring and there are many insects and bugs in the woods.
  • Soon, we will all be safe and sound.

Aquí nos encontramos en esta extraña situación intentando pasar un tiempo divertivo, aprender y ejercitarnos. Debido al Coronavirus, teacher Débora se va a comunicar con vosotros por ordenador. Me encantaría recibir un mensaje por vuestra parte diciéndome cómo estais y si os gustan los vídeos que he elegido para que disfrutéis y aprendáis.

Como ya sabéis, hoy es el día de San Patricio, muy famoso en EEUU y en Irlanda. Aquí os dejo un enlace de National Geographic para que aprendáis sobre este día. Parte de las actividades que desarrollamos en nuestra maravillosa escuela es buscar huevos de Pascua. Os pido que lo hagáis en casa con huevos de chocolate o con juguetes. Es tan divertido jugar en casa. Arriba hay algunas frases para que leáis y aquí algunos enlaces a vídeos y canciones. Ya os echo de menos,

Dear children and parents,

Happy St Patrick’s Day!! What a curious situation we have in the world… Due to this strange Coronavirus isolation at home, teachers have to work for you through the computer. Please, profit the situation to enjoy being home, watching films, reading, dancing, and learning English!!!!

This link will take you to the National Geographic page about St Patrick’s Day for kids.It may be a bit complicated for them, but you can help them read and comprehend. They can really, really… really read in English.

Dear children and parents,

As you already know , Spain and the whole world is going through a bizarre situation which implies we can’t go outside, see our closest family members or go to Alquería School. On behalf of this strange situation, all Alquería Educación crew will be in contact with you through the blog and messages you send us (and I will try to reply as soon as possible). The topic we would be enjoying in class this weeks is Easter, Easter bunny and the chocolate egg hunting in the garden. Hence, my job from home is to make you exercise and have fun meanwhile learning English, dancing and singing.

Tell mom or dad to play hidding real or fake eggs in your house and try to find them.

I already miss you.:))

Estimados alumn@s, madres y padres:

Como ya sabéis, España y el mundo entero está atravesando una situación extraña que implica que no podemos salir de casa, ver a nuestra familia directa, o ir al colegio. Es por esta situación tan rara que el equipo de Alquería Educación va a estar en contacto con vosotros a través del blog y de los mensajes que queráis enviarme (me haría mucha ilusión e intentaría responderos lo antes posible). El tema que estaríamos trabajando en clase sería la Pascua, el conejito de Pascua y la búsqueda de huevos de chocolate en el jardín. Por lo tanto, mi trabajo consistirá en hacer que hagas ejercicio, que lo pases bien, que aprendas inglés, que cantes, que bailes…

Pídele a mami o papi que te esconda huevos reales o ficticios por la casa y que tú los busques.

Ya os echo de menos.

Dear children and parents,

The aim of this blog for the next weeks is to make your stay at home a little bit more fun and entertaining. As you already know by media and adults conversations, it is time to stay inside to protect us and to protect others. Please, find this strange situation a wonderful ocassion to spend time learning new things, drawing, colouring dancing, jumping, watchting fims… and why not?? …learning English. It is Easter time and Easter bunny songs.

El propósito de este blog durante las próximas semanas es hacer vuestra estancia en casa más divertida y entretenida. Como ya sabéis por los medios de comunicación, así como por las conversaciones de los mayores, es hora de quedarnos en casa y de protegernos tanto a nosotr@s mism@s, como a los demás. Por favor, aprovechad esta extraña situación, esta ocasión especial para aprender cosas nuevas, colorear, bailar, saltar, ver películas… y ¿por qué no?… aprender inglés.
