Hello! As you may know from reading Carmen’s blog, in the Yellow class we have spent the past three weeks learning about colors! While there is a whole rainbow of colors to learn, we began with Autumn colors.
However, September didn’t feel very much like autumn, and it felt much more like summer, so we started learning about the color RED using the OLIVIA story. OLIVIA is a pig, who is as active as my «little yellows» and she likes to wear RED, so we read the story and colored her clothes RED.
Here is a link to the story for you to read at home.

After we learned RED, it was time to learn about more colors, this time Autumn colors in the correct season. So, taking advantage of both the YELLOW class name and the YELLOW fall leaves, we began to learn our fall poem. The two colors highlighted in this poem are YELLOW and BROWN.  This week, we’ll add one more Autumn color to our list: ORANGE.
We will continue to practice our poem to help us prepare for the arrival of «Señor Otoño» next week.
We also sang and danced to get into the spirit of the season. You can listen at home by clicking here:
I hope you all enjoy the colors, smells and spirit of the Autumn season!
I’m Lindley, and I am SO excited to be back teaching English in your classrooms!!!
It has been a long time since we’ve been able to enjoy English class together in person, so this year will be especially fun as I will fill your ears with English and we play together.
Moms and Dads, I will publish resources, videos and songs that we are using in the classroom so that you can continue exposing your children to English in a natural, fun and organic way!
Please feel free to leave a comment if you have questions or doubts. I look forward to getting to know your children and all of you as the occasion permits!
Our virtual English class this week is all about Thanksgiving.
As you may know,  this important holiday falls in November for many English speakers in the United States and Canada.  It is an  annual  celebration. We feast on Turkey and pumpkin pie and give thanks for family and friends in our lives.
Here is a song explaining our feast:
Now have fun and dance with Elmo and friends!  Do the «Gobble Wobble!»
